Introduction to Brazilian Forró - Beginners Class

Forró (pronounced "faw-HAW").  is a joyful Brazilian partner dance known for its easy-to-learn steps and welcoming social feel. Born in northeastern Brazil in the late 19th century, today, you can dance it all over the world.

Forró blends music, movement, and community. This series is a unique chance to try something new. Dance instructors Raquel Rubio and Brian Dumaual of Art2BeHuman, have been teaching this beautiful dance locally since they moved from New York City a year ago. While the material will be taught progressively and attending the full series is recommended, you’re still welcome to join even if you can’t make every class.
