TheErickHawkinsModernDanceTechniqueisacomprehensiveanduniversalsystemofdancetrainingthatintegratesthebody, mind, and soul while following scientific principles. It emphasizes thebody/mind connection and is based on the belief that dance should be a holistic experience that reflects the dancer's inner and outer worlds. It includes principles such as bounces and loops, contraction and decontraction, rhythm and pulse, and more. The technique continues to influence dancers around the world and is a testament to Hawkins' profound thinking and teaching in the modern dance field.
