This class is offered by ChrisTopher Pollack – a fun, supportive, and high-energy improv class designed to help you step out of your shell, build confidence, and unleash your creativity. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, a mom, dad, young adult, or anyone looking to add a little more spontaneity and joy to your life, this class is for you!  This will be a high-energy class offered in a safe space to explore the art form and our own creativity.


What you will learn:

  • The fundamentals of improvisation through a variety of interactive exercises and games. 
  • You’ll explore key improv skills such as quick thinking, character development, and scene creation
  • The joy and excitement of collaborating and working off of new friends

*Due to the spontaneous nature of improvisation, performances sometimes contain adult language and themes. This class is open to those 18yrs and up.

 

Christopher “Topher” Polack is a seasoned improv performer and educator whose quick wit and dynamic energy have illuminated stages across New England and the Hudson Valley. As a founding member of The Great Make Believe Society, an undefeated champion in Connecticut’s CT Cage Match scene, Topher has captivated audiences with his spontaneous comedy. Trained by improv legends Keith Johnstone, Martin de Maat, and Pam Victor, he has also imparted his expertise to aspiring performers at Wesleyan University’s Center for Creative Youth. Since relocating to the Hudson Valley, Topher has become a key player with Happenstancery Improv, showcasing his talent at events like the Hill People’s Comedy Festival and The Producer’s Club in NYC. His ability to find humor in the unexpected makes him a standout in nearly every venue founder Joseph Davis can secure. Through his performances and teaching, Topher continues to elevate the art of improvisational comedy, leaving a lasting impact on both audiences and students alike.
